Main Components of the Steel Pipe Shot Blasting Machine
The steel pipe shot blasting machine consists of the following core assemblies:
Blasting Wheel Unit
This is the core component of the equipment. High-speed rotating impellers eject abrasive shot at high velocity to impact steel pipe surfaces and remove scale and rust. The performance of the blasting wheel directly determines the final blasting quality.
Shot Recovery, Separation & Conveying System
This system collects scattered abrasives generated during blasting, separates contaminants from clean shot, and recirculates qualified shot back to the blasting wheel for repeated use. Key components include a full-curtain BE-type shot-slag separator and screw conveyors.
Workpiece Carrier
Roller conveyors serve as the standard carrier to support and convey steel pipes. The roller system feeds steel pipes continuously at a steady speed to pass through the blasting zone sequentially. It is fitted with rotating mechanisms to achieve full circumferential blasting and thorough surface cleaning.
Dust Removal System
High-efficiency cartridge dust collectors capture and treat massive dust produced during blasting, maintaining a clean working environment and protecting operators’ occupational health.
Other auxiliary parts including motors, reduction gearboxes, rollers, and feeding conveyors cooperate to complete full shot blasting cleaning for steel pipes.
Application Scope
The steel pipe shot blasting machine is mainly applied to remove mill scale and rust from steel pipe surfaces. It is widely adopted in petroleum, chemical, power, metallurgy, shipbuilding, bridge engineering, construction and other industries. Featuring high efficiency and stable operation, it greatly upgrades the surface finish of treated steel pipes and delivers an ideal rust removal standard of Sa2.5 blast cleaning grade.
