Common faults of the separator for pass-through shot blasting machine are as follows:
Poor separation performance: The shot abrasives and impurities cannot be completely separated, which impairs shot blasting quality and processing efficiency. This fault may be caused by unreasonable separator structure design, insufficient air volume, improper wind speed or damaged internal components.
Abrasive blockage: The internal flow channels of the separator get clogged by shot abrasives and interrupt normal separation procedures. Typical triggers are damp and sticky abrasives or large impurities stuck inside the channels.
Air volume adjustment failure: The air regulating device malfunctions and fails to adjust air volume to the required value, weakening separation efficiency.
Internal component wear: Long-term operation leads to abrasion of internal parts such as blades and baffles, resulting in degraded separating performance.
Poor sealing: Loose sealing elements of the separator cause air leakage, which distorts air volume and wind speed and consequently damages the separation effect.
