Incorrect adjustment of the blasting angle can lead to the following problems:
Uneven Surface Treatment
Uneven blasting force may cause pits, cracks or residual contaminants on the workpiece surface. Excessive impact force damages certain areas, while insufficient force fails to thoroughly clean other regions. This directly impairs surface quality and the performance of subsequent processing procedures.
Reduced Cleaning Efficiency
Non-perpendicular blasting angles (the recommended adjustment tolerance is ±5°) lower blasting energy, cutting cleaning efficiency by roughly 40%. If the control cage is not set to its optimal position, the blast coverage area shrinks. The control cage must be adjusted to compensate for angular deviation.
Accelerated Equipment Wear
Angular deviation of the blasting wheel causes abnormal wear to components including the blade wheel and distributor wheel. Any wear exceeding 15 mm requires immediate replacement; otherwise, blasting uniformity will drop by 40%.
