Most modern shot blasting machines are fitted with PLC control systems, enabling automated operation and precise parameter adjustment. Nevertheless, prolonged operation may occasionally lead to minor operational faults. Novice operators do not have to rely on professional technicians; by mastering a few simple troubleshooting methods, they can quickly restore normal equipment operation.
Common Fault 1: PLC display blank or PLC fails to start. This is usually caused by poor electrical connections or a blown fuse. Simply check the power switch and wiring connections, replace any damaged fuses, then restart the machine to resolve the issue.
Common Fault 2: Parameters cannot be saved after configuration. This may point to a fault in the PLC’s internal storage module or an operating error. First, restart the machine and reconfigure the settings. If parameters still fail to save, inspect the wiring connections of the storage module; contact the manufacturer to order a replacement module if necessary.
Common Fault 3: Sudden equipment shutdown during operation. This most frequently stems from a defective sensor. Inspect sensors related to material feeding, material discharging or shot level detection. Clear dust buildup on sensor surfaces and adjust their positions to guarantee stable signal transmission, which will restore regular operation.
